History
“Original office was built by Pacific Telephone & Telegraph as a “single customer” office serving McClellan Air Force Base. The office was put into operation in 1948 and continued to serve the base especially the early warning functions as well as the Air Force Logistics Command. When the base closed in 1997, the office was expanded and phased into the public switched network to relieve neighboring offices. The original office is to the left with the tile roof. “
